Yellow-Green Tip Belt/8 th Gup:
            Self-Defense from Behind  *Always rack attackers shin with your heel-stomp foot!
 
#1-(arms around both arms/shoulders-your feet are on gnd) Quickly stomp attackers foot and drop to horse stance (optional head butt)-bend forward rotate and hold onto one arm-throw attacker over your shoulder-finish with a punch or kick.
 
#2-(arms around both arms/shoulders-your feet are on gnd)  Quickly stomp attackers foot and simultaneously drop to horse stance-thrust arms forward-double elbow strike to ribs (optional head butt)- arm around waist- hip throw-finish with punch or kick.
#2a- Same as #2 except use an inside-under the arm-hip throw.
#2b- Same as #2 except use an outside-under the arm-hip throw.
 
Green Belt/7th  the Gup:
 #3-(attackers arms around both arms/shoulders-your feet are off gnd) Quickly do several back kicks to knees or what  you can strike-head butt- grab and  twist groin till attacker  releases.
 
#4-(both hands around neck) Quickly raise either right or left arm straight up and rotate in same direction-hook both of the attackers arms with the previously raised arm-deliver several punches to the attackers kidney while holding the arms.  Finish with a leg sweep & tiger strike to the throat as the attacker falls.
 
Green Belt-Blue Tip/6  th Gup:
 #5 (attacker has you in a head-lock from their side with one arm) Take your inside arm and reach over to their nose or eyes- as you pull their head back step around with your inside leg so it is behind their inside leg.  As you pull their head back, use your leg as fulcrum to make them fall over. Add a hand technique to their throat/face/head as they fall.

Blue Belt w/Red tip/4 th Gup-Red Belts 3 rd Gup~1 st Gup      #1~ #10
#6 (attacker has you in front bear hug/arms pinned-your feet are on the ground)  Bend your knees and press them against the attackers knees-forcing them back.  Execute a ridge hand to the groin-attacker releases grip-execute  knee strike to groin-finish with your desired technique.
 
#7 (attacker has you in front bear hug/arms free-your feet are on the ground)  Execute a pressure point attack  under the ears or under jaw. Attacker relaxes grip-pull head down and execute knee strike to groin/stomach/face-finish with favorite technique.
 
#8  (attacker has you in rear bear –arms around your waist/your arms are free-your feet are on the ground)   Bend over and reach between your legs and grab one of their feet/ankles.  Quickly bring it up/forward -causing them to fall back. Finish with a back kick to their groin or favorite technique.
 
#9  (attacker has you in front headlock/choke-your head is face down)  Grab attackers forearm(same side arm)-lock your arm down position.(this prevents from getting choked) place other hand/arm over the attackers shoulder to support your bodies weight.  Execute a knee strike to attackers groin as soon as possible-finish with favorite technique or as attacker lifts to choke-pull reverse choke with arm over shoulder.
 
#10  (attacker has you in full-nelson)  Raise your finger locked hands between your eyes to resist the attacker from forcing your neck and head forward.  This is to buy you some time to escape by: bending down and grabbing their ankles and pulling up and dropping them on their back-body slam! Or racking their shins with your heal to loosen their grasp-execute elbow strikes to face and ribs.
