Tae Kwon Do-The Art of the  foot and fist

 Instructed by 4th  Dan Wayne R. Spencer and Black Belts from Spencer’s Warrior Club

General Info:
-uniforms are $25.00 (I do not  recommend that they purchase one at least for a few weeks)
-initially they need just loose fitting clothes, males groin cup and all a mouth guard- $1.00 at  Wal-Mart.  NO tank tops or shorts-spandex!  Ladies please wear t-shirt with your uniform.
- promotional testing  aprox. every 4 to 6 months-maybe longer for some younger students
-under belt test fees are $25.00  (for the purchase of belts,  certificates, awards, dues to our parent organization- breaking boards/cement blocks)
- belt ranking structure:   white-  yellow w/ stripe-   green-  green w/ stripe- blue-  

blue w/ stripe-  red-red w/one stripe-red w/two  stripes  BLACK Belt - 1st Dan- It takes teenagers and adults at least 4 years to reach this rank, the younger children longer--very few will reach this rank-most will  quite before reaching BB.  I challenge you to prove me incorrect.  Black Belts are only awarded to those that are a minimum of 15 years old. Less than 15 will be awarded a POOM rank (Jr. BB).   The First Dan Black Belt  Certificate cost $250.00.  This includes a signature Black Belt, a Black Belt certificate from Spencer's Warrior Club and the Korean Kukkiwon certificate too.  The Black belt uniform is extra and  can be ordered by me or the student.  The prices vary from company and style.      

Equipment required to get after a few months and aprox cost- see me for an additional handout with info:
-helmet  -chest pad   -forearm pads  -shin/instep pads  -advanced students need boxing gloves

Myself and several students (white ~ Black belts) compete in local-state-national and international competitions.  This is not required for promotion.  However, if you compete in a State Championship and win Gold in sparring by defeating opponents, color belts will be awarded a field combat promotion to the next color belt rank. (Does not include Black Belt)    My son Matt won a bronze medal (sparring)  in 98 at  the Jr TKD Nationals in Orlando, Fla.  I won a gold in sparring in the 94 nationals at the Atlanta Dome in Ga. Several of our students have been Va.state champions over the past few years.

Spencer's Warrior Club is a member of Grand Master John Pellegrini's   International Combat Hapkido Federation (ICHF) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
