sincere appreciation and thanks goes to all the parents and students
of those that participated in the Suffolk- YMCA Healthy Kids day on 13
April. About 80% of the class was there for the
demonstration. I received several good comments on how well you all
performed. Considering the amount of practice we did prior to the
event, you did very well.
Congratulations to the recent competitors in the 22nd Junior State TaeKwonDo Championship on 20 April:
Spring & Summer training requires you to drink lots of water to prevent de-hydration. It is a simple act to prevent serious heat related injuries!!!! |
Future events:
Promotion test in May-date TBA, don't ask! I will inform those that will be testing. 11 May- Local tournament at Master Grants school in Chesapeake. Let me know ASAP if you plan to compete. All ages and belts (3 and up). Early registration is $30. and $35 at the door. Spectators are free! For web site and info.. go to Master Grants site and link under In-house tournament. The password is ... pilsung 1 June- Va State TKD Games in Richmond. All ages and ranks....proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Breaking is included in this tournament. Attention to all students in the 7:30 class. Start bringing shorts & shoes for working outside on the grass.
Weather permitting, some classes will be conducted in front of the
day care playground. We also may run a short distance. This
